Martin L. Puterman

Dr. Puterman is a Professor Emeritus at the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. His areas of expertise include using operations research to model, plan and manage health care systems, and biostatistics. He is regarded as a world leader in Markov decision processes theory and applications. Dr. Puterman has developed and taught novel courses in health care operations and forecasting. He is a researcher who has collaborated widely with health care researchers and professionals.

Dr. Sauré is an Assistant Professor at the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa. He received his Ph.D. in Management Science from the University of British Columbia (UBC). He has over twelve years of experience developing, implementing and applying advanced analytics techniques to large-scale, real-world business problems. He is an expert in the development of advanced capacity planning and scheduling techniques. Dr. Sauré has worked on numerous capacity planning and patient scheduling projects aimed to provide timely access to quality cancer care.

Filipe holds a M.Sc. in Computer Science from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). Computer Graphics has always been his main area of interest and where he's done most of his academic research. After a long-term involvement with enterprises as a web developer, Filipe has since turned his attention to agile environments and has been focusing on new product design and development as an independent contractor.

Daniel is a software engineer currently pursuing graduate studies in Computer Science at the University of British Columbia (UBC). His research focuses on understanding human aspects of software engineering and developing tools to support software evolution. Prior to joining Sensible Building Science as a full-stack software developer, Daniel has worked as a software developer for a market research company in Brazil.
